Why Donate to P.A.T.? Support local charities and clean out items around the house that you really don’t need. We will provide you with a tax-deductible receipt. Are you moving? Downsizing? Don’t hang on to things you no longer need.

We are accepting donations on select days and times:

Tuesdays –   (12pm – 7pm)
Wednesdays – (12pm – 7pm)
Thursdays – (12pm – 7pm)
Fridays –      (12pm – 7pm)
Saturdays –  (12pm – 7pm)

Whether you are shopping or donating, we want you to know how much we appreciate your help. To further assist us, please check the list to the right for items we can no longer accept as donations. These are items that we get more of than we can handle or have not been able to effectively sell in the past. As always, your continued support along with your cooperation with these guidelines will enable PAT to be even more effective in the future.

We accept gently used:

  • Appliances
  • Books
  • Cars
  • CDs, Records, Tapes
  • Clothing, shoes and accessories
  • DVDs, VHS
  • Electronics and stereo equipment 
  • Furniture
  • Home furnishings and household items
  • Jewelry
  • Sporting goods

We do not accept the following:

  • BEDS, Bed Frames, Futons, Mattresses, Bed pillows, Sofa beds, Pull out Sofas
  • Box Screen Televisions without DVD connection, CRT monitors
  • Any printers (unless new in the box with ink)
  • Computer monitors older than 5 years old
  • Upholstered furniture that is torn, stained, threadbare, musty, etc.
  • Unassembled Shelving 
  • Hospital or medical supplies
  • Encyclopedia Collections or textbooks.
  • Baby Strollers and Child car seats
  • Used Socks, Underwear, or Other Undergarments
  • Pillows
  • Used Bedding & Linens (Bedsheets, Towels, Duvet Covers, Etc.)
  • We cannot accept any clothing with blood or other bodily fluids

ReSupply x Philly AIDS Thrift

Need help getting your donations to us? Philly AIDS Thrift has partnered with ReSupply, a third-party pickup service, to offer a convenient, low-cost pickup option for donors who are unable to bring items directly to the store. Pickups are typically available within 24–48 hours.

ReSupply can pick up a wide range of items. Eligible donations will be delivered to Philly AIDS Thrift, and items we are unable to accept may be handled through ReSupply’s ethical disposal process. Please note that pickup scheduling, availability, fees, and appointment changes are handled directly through ReSupply.

Donate Your Car

Another way to support us is by donating your car to Philly AIDS Thrift! It’s easy, costs you nothing, and you’ll receive a tax receipt. Send us an email to phillyaidsthrift@aol.com with the subject line: Car Donation, and we will schedule a free and easy pick-up at a date and time that is convenient to you. Your vehicle must have an engine and be towable, but it does not need to be running to donate it!
