Saturday, June 10th from 12pm-5pm we celebrate Philly AIDS Thrift @ Giovanni’s Room 50-year Golden Anniversary!

We take to Philly’s streets at 12th and Pine, where Emcee DJ Robert Drake from WXPN will welcome Queer Performers and Musicians such as DJ lowiron, Weez the Peeples Collective, Thunder Thighs, Solomon Temple, JAELYN, Icon Ebony Fierce, Fyre Wood, and Tony and the Kiki!

The event will be filled with fabulous Queer art/craft/vintage vendors selling their wares and food/drinks from Mixto Restaurante and more!

Dancing in the streets is strongly encouraged.

Philly AIDS Thrift is overjoyed to commemorate Giovanni’s Room’s golden 50 year anniversary with QUEERAPALOOZA, a new music festival and celebration, on Saturday, June 10, 2023. The all-day event will kick off Noon to 5pm on the 1000 block of Pine Street, just outside Giovanni’s Room, in Center City Philadelphia.
QUEERAPALOOZA will feature local queer bands, musicians, DJs, and drag performers, as well as vendors selling artwork, crafts, and vintage items., and of course, books and other merchandise from Giovanni’s Room.

Why Donate to P.A.T.? Support local charities and clean out items around the house that you really don’t need. We will provide you with a tax-deductible receipt. Are you moving? Downsizing? Don’t hang on to things you no longer need.

We are accepting donations on select days and times:

Tuesdays –   (12pm – 7pm)
Thursdays – (12pm – 7pm)
Fridays –      (12pm – 7pm)
Saturdays –  (12pm – 7pm)

Whether you are shopping or donating, we want you to know how much we appreciate your help. To further assist us, please check the list to the right for items we can no longer accept as donations. These are items that we get more of than we can handle or have not been able to effectively sell in the past. As always, your continued support along with your cooperation with these guidelines will enable PAT to be even more effective in the future.

We do not accept the following: BEDS, Bed Frames, Futons, Mattresses, Bed pillows, Sofa beds, Pull out Sofas Box Screen Televisions without DVD connection, CRT monitors Any printers (unless new in the box with ink) Computer monitors older than 5 years old Upholstered furniture that is torn, stained, threadbare, musty, etc. Unassembled Shelving  Hospital or medical supplies Encyclopedia Collections or textbooks. Baby Strollers and Child car seats Used Socks, Underwear, or Other Undergarments Pillows Used Bedding & Linens (Bedsheets, Towels, Duvet Covers, Etc.) We cannot accept any clothing with blood or other bodily fluids

Another way to support us is by donating your car to Philly AIDS Thrift! It’s easy, costs you nothing and you’ll receive a tax receipt. Send us an email with subject line: Car Donation and we will schedule a free and easy pick-up at a date and time that is convenient to you. Your vehicle must have an engine and be towable, but it does not need to be running to donate it!

Sales are Everyday, All Day!

The best part of Philly AIDS Thrift is the abundance of sales! Generously donated items arrive all day long, and that means we need to move our merchandise fast! So you can always anticipate SWEET SALES on tons of items throughout the store.

There are monthly rotating color-coded discounts on clothing, knick-knacks, and housewares tags.

Once you’ve thoroughly pillaged the racks and shelves, look for our infamous Dollar Bins and Dollar Racks. Here you’ll find men’s and women’s T’s, jeans, shirts, jackets…heck, you name it, we got it!!

Last but not least, we are bursting at the seams with furniture, televisions, and stereos. We also get fine china, quality artwork, and all manner of interesting, exotic and unique antiques, artifacts and tchotchkes–large and small.
